I see the wonder of nature that surrounds me
a gentle wind wafting through the leaves
of all my beautiful trees
I hear the birds singing
the squirrels playing
the chirping of the crickets
as if they are entertaining me
I look up at the beauty of the sky
the clouds hiding the sparkle of the stars
that I so long to see
through the eyes of tranquility
it soothes my soul
to be able to enjoy
the things we take for granted
the gifts that God gave to us
and so freely for all to see
